A group of former CIA and military officials have written to President Obama to say they believe Israel is preparing to attack Iran this month.
The group explained that Israel wants to launch a war suddenly, and make it politically untenable for Obama to do anything other than offer full US military support.
Michel Chossudovsky from the Canadian Centre for Research on Globalization thinks that, in reality, Israel would need Washington's backing first.
“It is technically impossible, from a military standpoint, for Israel to actually launch a war on Iran without the green light from the US. This is not strictly an Israeli military project. The US from the mid-1990s in fact has indicated Iran as a possible target,” Chossudovsky evaluated.
He acknowledged that the joint program of the US, NATO and Israel to attack Iran was formed sometime in 2004 at the time of invasion in Iraq.
Chossudovsky believes that the threats are real and implications are far reaching.
“If that war were launched within the next few months, a whole region would flare up from the Eastern Mediterranean right through to the Chinese border.”
According to Mordechai Kedar from Israeli Begin-Sadat Center for Strategic Studies, Israel will never attack Iran by itself for a number of reasons.
“First of all, it is very far away from us. We have to refuel the planes above the hostile states – like Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Jordan – which we do not have relations with, so it is very complicated to do it. Secondly, the Israel air forces are rather small in comparison to the width of Iran and the numbers of targets which we should deal with in Iran,” he said.
“If there is something worldwide that the United States and maybe Britain and other states also take part in – maybe, Israel will take part in this as well. But Israel by itself, I think, will never attack Iran,” Kedar added.

Documentary film maker James Fox has released a new video, shot on location in and around Grand Isle, Louisiana. In the video, James and his crew collected numerous water samples, water with a visible oil presence. One of the water samples collected was from twenty miles off shore, while others were taken from the beach on Grand Isle.
The footage also showed the oil caked hulls of boats from the area, a grim reminder of the true reality we are currently facing in and around the gulf.
Corexit 9500 and 9527A are both being applied daily, with little to no intervention by the EPA. Samples have shown high concentrations of Propylene Glycol, between 360 and 440 parts per million. Keep in mind that 25 parts per million is the excepted toxic limit for fish. This would indicate that some of the samples were 150 times the toxic limit!
Oil and water samples were taken from both the Shores of Grand Isle and from 20 miles out. The preliminary analysis was done at an academic analytical chemistry laboratory. Looking for the likely pollutants from the deep water Horizon Oil spill. It was focused on the detection of benzene and propylene glycol. Benzene and other highly toxic contaminants were very low however the concentration of propylene glycol was between 360 and 440 parts per million.
Just 25 parts per million is know to kill most fish and propylene glycol is just one of many ingredients found in Corexit. In short, the Gulf is being poisoned by BP’s usage of the dispersants even after the EPA asked them to stop back in May. We are willing to provide ANY respected/known laboratory these samples or provide them with more. This is very serious to all people and marine life in and around the Gulf. James Fox

Yobie Benjamin, writing for The San Francisco Chronicle, is reporting what nobody else in the corporate media is reporting — a mysterious disease has stricken crops in Mississippi and it may be connected to the BP oil gusher.
“It seems like damage brought by the oil gusher has spread way beyond the ocean, coastal areas and beaches. Collateral damage now appears to include agricultural damage way inland Mississippi,” writes Benjamin. The disease has caused widespread damage to plants from weeds to farmed organic and conventionally grown crops.
Benjamin believes the disease is the result of BP spraying the oil dispersant Corexit 9500 in the Gulf of Mexico. Corexit 9500 is believed to be responsible for widespread reports of oil cleanup crews reporting various injuries including respiratory distress, dizziness and headaches.
“Dispersants have never been applied on this scale, leaving environmental scientists guessing about the consequences. Corexit may have caused seven cleanup workers to be admitted to the hospital with shortness of breath and nausea,” reports Popular Science.
Many have focused their concerns about Corexit… on what it’s doing under the water. But as we know, the oceans are part of a larger precipitation cycle, and scientists are worried that soon the consequences of using dispersants could be falling from the sky,” writes Beth Buczynski for Care2, an environmental website.
The EPA asked BP to stop using Corexit, which is banned in 18 countries due to its toxicity, but the oil transnational has refused.
There is no direct evidence that the crop damage in Mississippi is the result of Corexit 9500 falling from the sky. However, as Benjamin notes, there “is very strong suspicion that ocean winds have blown Corexit aerosol plumes or droplets and that dispersants have caused the unexplained widespread damage.”
A tropical storm located between the northern coast of Honduras and Grand Cayman has developed into the first tropical depression of the Atlantic hurricane season. “On shore, residents along the coast are also concerned about what could happen if the storm pushes ashore, overwhelming efforts to protect beaches, wetlands and waterways and making an already bad situation much worse,” reports KWTX in Waco, Texas.
“Tropical storms usually form in the far eastern Atlantic early in the season. But as the Gulf heats and the oil continues to spill into the open waters, that concern and storm potential will grow together,” Dr. Remata Reddy, who studies and teaches tropical meteorology at Jackson State University, told WAPT in Mississippi. “As oil evaporates and comes into contact with a tropical storm, the chances of acid rain falling within the storm are possible.”
If the storm reaches the United States and plants come down with the mystery disease afterward, we will have a pretty good idea Corexit is responsible.

The farce that is the war in Afghanistan is coming apart at the seams. General Stanley McChrystal’s sharp comments about Obama, Biden, and the administration published by Rolling Stone are not so much about disrespect, as the script-reading corporate media talking heads would have it, but rather about a policy in disarray in Afghanistan.
Obama the wunderbar teleprompter reader (and little else) is instructed to push the completely untenable prospect that the United States can win the so-called war in Afghanistan, a country often referred to as the graveyard of empires. The British, the Russians, Alexander the Great, and Genghis Khan either fell to the Afghans or made painful concessions. The British suffered one of their greatest military defeats in the Khyber. 16,500 British soldiers and civilians, retreating after defeat in Kabul, were slaughtered by the Afghans. One person was spared to tell the story.
The establishment knows it cannot “win” in Afghanistan and the claim the U.S. military is there to defeat the Taliban and al-Qaeda is nothing but transparent propaganda.
Afghanistan is a black hole sucking up men and machinery for the sake of death merchant profiteers. After the so-called Afghanistan assessment was supposedly leaked to the CIA’s favorite newspaper last year — the report recommended in Pentagon-speak securing the population, aiding in providing good governance, building and mentoring the Afghan security forces — McChrystal threatened to resign if he was not provided with resources to accomplish the mission.
In other words, McChrystal said he needs more troops, something our rulers will not do. Not because it is politically unpopular, but because the mission in Afghanistan is not to win. The unstated mission is to chew up men, resources, and a lot of money loaned out by international banksters. The mission is to keep an unwinnable conflict on low heat indefinitely, or at least until the United States collapses from the crushing debt burden.
McChrystal made his opinion about the corporatization of the “war” known in April when he criticized the use of private-sector contractors. “I actually think we would be better to reduce the number of contractors involved.” He suggested increasing the number of troops “if necessary,” or “using a greater number of Afghan contractors, or Afghans to help with the mission,” according to the Boston Globe.
Instead of acting as the CEO of a floundering occupation designed to last forever, McChrystal hinted he would resign. “Three officers at the Pentagon and in Kabul told McClatchy that the McChrystal they know would resign before he’d stand behind a faltering policy that he thought would endanger his forces or the strategy,” it was reported last September.
Now McChrystal and his boys are making sarcastic and derogatory — even adolescent — remarks about Obama and Biden in the presence of Rolling Stone journalists. McChrystal realizes this behavior will likely result in his forced resignation. He has obviously arrived at a decision to publicly express his contempt for Obama and the administration.

In the last few months, a strange series of events has taken place since surrounding the April 20th BP Gulf oil spill. The Intel Hub will attempt to lay out some of the seemingly unbelievable facts in a manner which can easily be understood.
Between March 22nd and March 24th, several drills involving an oil spill took place.“Spills Of National Significance” was a drill ran by DHS and the Coast Guard. The SONS documents were first broke by the Intel Hub on May 8, 2010. More than a week later, ABC News would of course take credit for the story.
We now know, through witness testimony, that there were cracks reported in the drill casing two weeks prior to the disaster. Goldman Sachs sold 44% of their total holdings, 4,680,822 shares of BP stock in the first quarter of 2010. Goldman Sachs earned about $ 266 million on the sale.
Apparently, Halliburton also had some psychic insight on what was soon to come.Eleven days before the explosion aboard the Deepwater Horizon, Halliburton purchased an oil spill prevention firm. Halliburton was the lead company in charge of cementing the Deepwater rigs as well.
Just hours before the rig explosion, The Bureau of Land Management took part in a surprise inspection aboard the Deepwater Horizon. Am unannounced, four man team quickly flashed credentials to a supervisor and was then allowed access to the entire rig. Zac Zimmerman reveals in this interview how odd this particular BLM visit really was. Not to mention,many rigs have burned for weeks at a time without collapsing.
Another important fact is that Obama, along with DHS and the Department of the Interior, sent SWAT teamsto the gulf to inspect all platforms and rigs. One must question, why would you deploy over 30 SWAT teams in response to an oil spill unless it was an act of terrorism, an act of war, or they if they were sent to carry out some sort of covert operation?

Tony Hayward has also attended numerous meetings of the world elite and was caught selling his stock in BP justweeks before the disaster.
Wackenhut, also known as G4S, has been hired by BP to block and or arrest reporters who attempt to probe the workers and staged media location in and around Grand Isle, LA. Wackenhut is a known arm of the Bilderbergers and also has ties to other agencies. There has been numerous confirmed staged media events that have taken place in and around Grand Isle. One such eyewitness reporter called into the Decompression Session and described how he and other members of the mainstream media were led to a small area on the beach where a staged photo op took place. He reported the presence of Army personal and that if he were to leave the barrier to either side, he would have been immediately arrested.

On May 19th, The Waco Tribune Herald reported that an Evergreen Air Supertanker 747 had trained at Texas State Technical College-Waco, where it flew 100 feet in the air and dropped water on targets applied to the ground. Evergreen Air was training for its planed run to fly over the spill while dropping a substance that could break up oil that threatens to damage the coastline. We have had numerous reports of people in the Gulf region who have fallen ill with “flu like” symptoms. Many people have reported the smell of toxic chemicals in the region. Clinics in some Gulf regions are reportedly at an elevated capacity. Birds have been seen migrating north, while sharks and dolphins seek shallower waters in Florida. This would seem to signify the presence of toxic air and water content. Poison gases from the oil mixed with the Corexit appear to be an Orwellian combo of death. Fish are turning up on the banks of streams in several states. Plants have burn holes through them from acid rain as reported in Texas, Arkansas, and Tennessee.
Most insurance companies do not cover “oil damage”. As the acid rain and hurricanes push inland in the coming months, we may see a rise in property damage claims. The likely winners being the very people who caused the problem.
The way Obama is treating the oil spill is somewhat erie. His use of war terminology seems to signal the true magnitude of this disaster. Terms such as ” Battle Plan” seem to be paving the way for militarization of the streets of America.

Today a Canadian court is to hand down a sentence on Splitting the Sky, an activist who attempted to craft a citizen's arrest on former President George W. Bush during a visit in 2009. Splitting the Sky could face up to two years in jail and pay a fine of $5,000.
